Toyota has announced that it will offer the new Toyota Entune infotainment system on the 2012 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, 2012 Toyota Camry, and 2012 Toyota Prius.
The Toyota Entune system is a collection of mobile data services and apps. Toyota is offering 3 years of complimentary access to the mobile applications for customers who purchase a 2012 model year Toyota with the Toyota Entune system. Smartphones can connect to the vehicle using bluetooth technology or a USB cable. The Toyota Entune’s feautres are then operated and controlled using the vehicles controls or voice recognition.
The Toyota Entune infotainment and communication system includes HD Radio, XD Radio, USB connectivity, a CD player, Bluetooth streaming and phonebook, and a host of mobile applications.
Toyota says mobile apps including Bing, iHeartRadio, Pandora, MovieTickets.com, OpenTable.com and more will be available in the spring of 2012 for no charge.
Toyota has begun promoting the Toyota Entune at dealerships across the nation as part of it’s dealership tour. The tour runs through December of this year and is a great opportunity to see the Toyota Entune system up close and personal.
