The instructions also worked for me but it is only loading 1 of my images not three like I have in the folder.

Anyone have any ideas?

I have a 2015 Corolla with the HDX nav system. My experience has been a complete failure of Entune to read the USB stick. The audio portion can successfully read an iPod, but when attempting to upload pix from a USB STICK in the custom background mode, I only get the "unable to access ......" Error message. Folders and files are all as specified in the manual. Will try a new USB stick based on responses above, and hope that's the issue.

Update: the new (different brand also) USB flash drive worked fine. No clue why the original one failed. Comment: had also contacted Toyota and after 4days had received only the robot acknowledgement of my contact.

I finally got it to work. (2014 Tundra)
My first, older USB did not work.
My newer USB worked.
Both were formatted FAT32.
The one thing I changed was I took the underscore out of the filename.
IMG_1234.JPG was changed to IMG1234.JPG
I don't know if that made the difference, or the different USB.

Here are my findings on a 2017 Tacoma.

USB should be formatted in fat32. Use the correct folder names in the root directory (StartupImage & DisplayOffImage). Do not use any special characters in the filename (something like image1.jpg image2.jpg etc)

need to select "Screen off" in order for DisplayOffImage to show.

also the plural the the greek word octopus is octopedes (oct-top-pod-dese) in case you were curious. octopi and octopuses are acceptable as well. :)
