When using the USB port and a thumb drive with 2000 + files on it, the radio won't access all of them. It only shows about 400 or so. Is there a limit of how many files Entune will access? How do I access all of the files on the thumb drive?

Thanks

I have over 2000 songs on my thumb drive but I file them by artist and then by album and have no problem.

One other thing, I use 2 different thumb drives and alternate the use of them. I've named them differently which will force Entune to read the entire drive and not just look for changes.

I have same problem earlier - I got close to 200 mp3 files in my USB and can only see few in Entune. I then created several sub-folders in my thumb drive and called it MyPlaylist 1, MyPlaylist 2, My Playlist 3 ...etc and then almost equally distributed songs (not more than 500 mp3's) among the folders. I can see & play more songs now but there are still few songs not showing up in Entune. I'm still figuring out what to try next.

Not sure what's up with your unit, I'm now over 3000 songs on my USB and have no problems with my method of organization. If my method works and yours doesn't why don't you try my method out?

I am having the same problem. I tried a thumb drive with over 60GB of music and a lot were not shown. I tried another drive with just a few GB on it and all were shown. I think there is a limit on how my GB of music the system can process. I wish I new how many.

Straight from my '15 Tundra owners manual

Items related to standards and limitations are as follows:
• Maximum directory hierarchy: 8 levels
• Maximum number of folders in a device: 3000 (including the root)
• Maximum number of files in a device: 9999
• Maximum number of files per folder: 255
• MP3, WMA and AAC files

I've got mine setup as folders: Group folders with album folders in them. I've heard that organizing them this way is the best way to do it and to not just put the songs on the drive. I'm using a 32 GB FIT and I've heard folks using 60 GB drives with no problems.

My 2017 Camry books make only a very small reference to USB with no mention of files.

After contacting Toyota/Entune I got the same answer as in the last post. On the surface the USB sounds good but as it takes several minutes to load and since it is limited in capicity I'll just used my phone with bluetooth.

Unless you live or travel in areas with spotty or no cell coverage as I do.
